Simple Steps to Onboard with Pet and Plant Pal: Your Guide to Getting Started

At Pet and Plant Pal, we strive to make the onboarding process as straightforward as possible. Whether you need care for your pets, plants, or both, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you get started:

Step 1: Access Our Software Portal

The first step in working with us is to create a profile in our software portal. You can do this by visiting the Become a Client page on our website or by clicking this link. This portal is where you’ll provide all the details we need to care for your pets and plants.

Important Note: If you’re a hobby farm client, plant-only client, or live in an outlying area, you might see an out-of-zip-code or out-of-area notification when accessing the portal. If this happens, don’t worry! Just contact us, and we’ll add your zip code to our system so you can access our services.

Step 2: Create Your Profile

Once you’re in the portal, you’ll need to create your profile:

  • Enter Your Information: Provide basic details about yourself and your home. This helps us understand your needs.

  • Add Your Pets or Plants: If you have pets, you’ll be prompted to add their information. If you’re a plant-only client, you may see an option to “Add Your Pets.” Simply skip this step, or you can add photos and descriptions of your plants if you wish. While optional, adding plant details can help us provide the best care.

  • Complete Your Profile: Ensure all your information is accurate and up to date. This makes sure we have everything we need to provide excellent care.

Step 3: Schedule a Meet-and-Greet

Once your profile is complete, it’s time to schedule a meet-and-greet. We’ll come to your home to meet your pets or check out your plants and discuss their care routines. This is also a great opportunity to cover any special instructions you may have.

Step 4: Provide Two Clear Forms of Entry

To ensure we can always access your property, we require two forms of entry. This could be a lockbox with a key and a backup key, or door codes along with a backup key. This ensures that if there’s ever an issue with one form of entry, we can still access your home to care for your pets and plants.

Step 5: Schedule and Pay for Services

After the meet-and-greet, you can easily request dates for our services through the software portal or app. Remember, services are only guaranteed once they’re paid for in full, so be sure to book and pay as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Step 6: Take Advantage of Care Packages

We offer care packages in bundles of 10 and 20 visits. Once you purchase a package, the price is locked in for as long as it takes you to use the visits—kind of like a “forever stamp.” This means you don’t have to worry about price increases.
